According to Person, the answer to industry’s skills gap could lie in diversity hiring and better engaging demographics that have otherwise sat untapped for decades. Broaching the subject can be sensitive, Person acknowledges, but she’s already seeing progress being made across industrial sectors, especially in construction and companies that want to ensure continued growth for their brand.
