Veranese Promoted to CEO of AMI

With the continued growth and evolution of Advanced Manufacturing International, Inc. (AMI), the Board of Directors has announced the promotion of Joe Veranese to Chief Executive Officer, effective January 2, 2023. Veranese, currently the Chief Information Officer for The Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group, Inc. (MTDG), the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), and AMI, will remain in his present roles, and will now assume the oversight of AMI’s efforts to aid small and medium enterprises to deploy sustainable smart manufacturing techniques.

A subsidiary of MTDG, AMI seeks to advance innovative technologies and best practices into global manufacturing markets while expanding into the broader U.S. manufacturing sector. AMI exists to accelerate the digital transformation of small to medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs), regardless of geographic location.

Veranese joined NCDMM in 2013 and has served in several capacities including Corporate Services Director responsible for providing program management oversight for corporate resources and initiatives and implementing operational NCDMM improvements. Prior to NCDMM, he spent 20 years in the financial sector. “I look forward to working with the team at AMI alongside our network of SMMs to strengthen and advance the manufacturing industry,” said Veranese. “With a greater focus on education and through the development of a competent workforce, we can help SMMs be better equipped to adopt smart manufacturing solutions and become more efficient and competitive.”
