The Critical Role of Private-Public Cyber Collaboration

One of the most important recent developments by CISA has been the creation of the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative, or JCDC, which is focused on operational private-public collaboration, says Kiersten Todt, CISA chief of staff. To see the JCDC “in real life be effective in industry-government work in what happened with Logj4 Shell and then with the Russian invasion of Ukraine … made a difference.” The real-time collaboration has enabled the sharing of important cyber intelligence by the government with industry, and for the industry in turn to share its insights, as well, she says.
